Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman was an American female gymnast who was captain for her team in the US female Olympic gymnastics the 2012 Fierce Five team as well as in the year 2016. She was named the Final Five. Aly Raisman was awarded three gold medals at the 2012 Olympics at London. She also took home a bronze medal on the balance beam. She became the only American to be awarded the most medals at an Olympics. As of 2016, she along with her teammate Gabby Doug were the first Americans who were able to secure back-to-back team gold medals. Silver medals were also awarded in both the all-around individual as well as floor workouts. After the 2 Olympics she had taken her time from competing to rest for three months. Her gold medal winning American team also took home twice at World Championships. Her first experience with gymnastics began when she was two and her favourite event is flooring exercise. Aly has joined her local Uniting Against Lung Cancer group in honor of her late grandmother. She hopes to pursue a career in fashion and is looking to increase her famous line of leotards as well as socks in the future. Fierce is a new book she plans to release later this year.
